So, my first journal on deviantart and it's a rant.

I hate most of the cops in my town, they're Grade A Dicks and follow the mantra 'guilty until proven innocent.' Anywho, me an a bunch of my buddies were detained about an hour ago by two cops and four patrol cars, supposedly because my friend Sarah fit the description of a guy who robbed a house a couple of blocks down. I see a few holes in the equation: 1) Sarah is a woman, suspect is a man, 2) the description of the suspect was really vague (White T-shirt, male, Caucasian, barefoot), and 3) the time stamp didn't fit.

In order to understand the time stamp thing, let me elaborate: My friends and I had a break in our D&D game, so we decided to go across the street to Wendy's and grab a bite to eat (one friend stays behind because he brought something to eat.) We cross the street and watch a patrol car pass us by, no big deal because it happens all the time, as we get to Wendy's the lobby is closed and we can't walk through the drive through so we head back to the DM's house. No sooner than we get to the crosswalk and I hit the button, a patrol car and an unmarked car stop by us on the side of the road with their lights flashing, two cops get out and yell for us to stop what we're doing and sit on the ground. I decided to crouch, got bitched at, and sat down. We went through the blah interrogations, where are you guys coming from, how old are you, you been anywhere else tonight, did you travel together, if so did you ever let anyone out of your sight? All in all it was a very boring process.

The DM of our game pleads the fifth, which he has every right to do as an american citizen, and the cops start freaking out and saying things like, "If this goes bad then you're going to take you and all your little friends down with you. I'll derive great pleasure from that." When they asked our ages and everything the took the DM's license and held it until the end of the whole process. One of our friends phone rings and they're like, "Don't answer that, just sit there, be quiet, and wait for the victim to show up so he can identify you or not." Then they start making dick responses to the DM who pleaded the fifth.

As you can probably tell, this is just the gyst of the whole fiasco but it was enough to get my blood boiling. This is almost enough to turn my point of view away from the few cops who are actually good guys.
